What we do

Consulting services — assessment, pilot, embedded

Three ways in, the same in either practice. Each one is scoped to end with a decision you can act on.

01 — Assessment

Two to four weeks, fixed fee. We look at the problems you actually own — the ones with deadlines and budgets attached — and work out which are worth pursuing, what they are worth, and what they will cost to build and to run.

You get a written recommendation, a shortlist ranked by value and effort, and the reasoning set out so someone who was not in the room can check it. Where the answer is "not yet" or "not this", we say so and explain what would change it.

02 — Pilot

One to three months, building the strongest candidate rather than describing it. Production standards from the start: version control, tests, monitoring, cost controls, and an evaluation harness that tells you whether it is working.

You get a repository your engineers can run, measured results against a baseline, an honest account of what did not work, and a go/no-go recommendation with the conditions that would change it.

03 — Embedded

Three to twelve months with our people inside your team, on work you have decided is worth doing. We pair rather than sit apart, write documentation someone will use, and hand over a codebase your team can extend without us.

The engagement is designed to end. We would rather be hired again for the next question than retained forever for the last one.

How we price

Assessments are a fixed fee agreed in advance. Pilots are fixed fee or time and materials against an agreed scope. Embedded work is a monthly rate. No lock-in, no licence fees, no resale margin on tools we recommend — if an off-the-shelf product is the right answer, we will tell you which one and help you set it up.

What we will not do

  • Report a result we have not measured against a sensible baseline.
  • Recommend a build when something you can buy does the job.
  • Write a strategy document whose conclusion was agreed before the analysis.
  • Take an engagement we think will fail without telling you we think so.

The first conversation is free and often the last — an hour is usually enough to place a problem. Get in touch with it in your own words, or read more about our AI and quantum practices.
